Another excellent night. It was a bit chilly, so the patio wasn't swamped,
but the folks there, rather than cold, were "cool".
I'm pleased with this set because I managed to both ride the wave of what
people seemed to be into while at the same time, pulling some material out
of some neglected corners of the repertoire, including some excellent songs
I've never played here. Also of note is the debut of "Get Thee Behind
Me, Satan" which is a brilliant little bit of pro-union protest songery
from Lee Hayes and Pete Seeger.
Dinner, once again was a total triumph. I'm not a big fan of fish in
general, but the chef took some humble codfish and had me *not* wolfing it
down, as is my usual wont, but actually *savouring* it.
At the end of the night, since things were quiet, but our mood was high,
I got to have a short little jam session with Michael & Jacquie (the owners).
We played Led Zeppelin's "That's The Way" with Michael on guitar, me on
bouzouki, and Jacquie singing. A couple of friends dropped by late, and
great conversation also ensued. It doesn't get much better!
