My Holy Grail arrived. If it does what it says it does, I shall become more powerful than anyone thought I could ever be, and all the preliminary reports and product reviews says that this box is genius and does all that AND a bag of chips.
So I'm going to be down in my studio tomorrow checking it out (as well as my new mics) and seeing what it can do for me and getting the hang of using it.
I don't want to be called on the phone or get lost in email or LJ, so I'm hanging up everything early. If you have something important to tell me, do it early or do it Friday.
This thing is so important that if Kirsten Dunst needs *my* help to even the odds against Rene Zellwiger and Caroline Rhea in a lingerie pillow fight, she's gonna have to wait.
Blowing things up is going to have to wait.
Fixing my banjo is going to have to wait.
If Jimmy Page knocks on the door and wants to give me guitar lessons for free, I'm going to ask him downstairs to listen to what the Holy Grail does and ask his opinion on whether it's worth the money I spent- BEFORE we do any guitar playing.
If someone has a paying gig for me, they can talk to me during lunch or dinner, but I'd really rather play with my Grail tomorrow- it's long term effect on my musical career is likely to justify whatever else I may miss out on tomorrow.
If my mother calls from Berlin, I AM going to ask if we can talk Friday instead.
I'm serious. Unless it involves something catastrophic which would require millions in special effects to render in the movie version, or something as bad as a Zombie Apocalypse, it's gonna wait until Friday.
