Setlist 11/04/10 Spotlight Coffee Cafe

So last night's set was my debut performance at Spotlight Coffee Cafe.
Given that I'd only had two days notice and that this was a brand new venue for me, the low turnout (a whopping one besides
patches023 was kind of expected. But this is a new place and they are in serious need of warm bodies, so I'm gonna push hard to get people to come out in the future.
It's a nice place, and it's run by some nice folks. It really was a pleasure to play for them.
The selection, while modest, is decent. The food is good and reasonably priced. Try their desserts!!!!
The Low point of the evening came early. A misbehaving amplifier almost killed the set.
The place is physically big, and a bit echo-ey. There's really not a good way to play completely unplugged here and hear everything properly. So all thanks, praise, and good things belong to
patches023 who raced home, and tho she could not find the specific substitute amp I asked for, found a functional alternative ANYWAY!!!!!
The technical difficulties delayed my start, but failed to prevent a damn nice and nice sounding set:
In attendance:
patches023

Yesterday, a friend online had posted a link to a video that included "Dream A Little Dream Of Me". I'd been meaning to get around to learning it, and since it was stuck in my head, I went and did that, and was able to debut a functioning version last night. This is gonna be a fun one, and I can't wait to see how the arrangement evolves as I get more comfortable with it.
I'm pleased to pass on the news that I will be back there again.
Look for me there on the 2nd Wednsday of the Month thru January.
BTW,
Dear Gremlins,
So you think you can stop me?
HA!
Played anyway!
Sounded Great!
And whatever little problem you've put into my gear, not only do I have workarounds until it's fixed by simply reverting to what I've been using, but this problem WILL be tracked down and it WILL be fixed, and when it is, my live sound WILL be upgraded.
Nice try, but sorry- YOU LOSE!
