Inspiration (a followup to "Godzilla's Ipod")

Some of the responses to that post have been amazing.

And then inadvertantly, madbodger reminded me of a favorite game of ours played during the psychotropic parties we hosted in our youth. TV on, sound off, put on a record and see if it works (it usually did).

When I have my birthday party next January, we're going to take some time out to have a contest.
Bring your favorite clip(s) on video or DVD of a giant monster on a destructive rampage and also provide (if possible) a song that YOU think would be playing on that monster's IPod while they're doing it.

Hopefully in the upcoming months appropriate prizes can be found.

Hmm. I think one of the prize might be that you get to go on your own rampage and destroy a Lego Tokyo that we could build. I'm thinking videotaping the proceedings would be appropriate.

I've not had time of late to compile any of my recent setlists, so here they are:

And now onto a rant.
I have NEVER been so ashamed of my government in my entire life, and this includes what I remember of the Vietnam war and Watergate. NEVER.
Our President has demanded and GOT the right to order someone to be tortured. And he has so lost touch with his humanity that he's not even willing to look the victim in the eye and do it himself.
No, he's going to order someone to do it, and that person will have to be trained to inflict extreme pain on another human being and be "professional" about it.
And his suspect pool is going to be coming from desperate dis-affected youths who have nothing left to lose, and hate us for our excesses. This is so going to work.
This is so going to encourage respect for the US and build bridges in the world that we hope will learn how good Democracy is.

As Dr Phil would say "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?"

It is plain to me that Bush and the Republicans who pushed this and the weak cowards who were cowed into going along with it are not interested in justice, freedom, or democracy.
They've sold their souls to get their way and now they want to spread fear of retribution, destruction and personal pain to keep it.

Yeah right.

This is the party that wants:

-to ignore pollution, destruction of the environment, and the global warming that it causes because it threatens profits of the big businesses whose collective teats fund their empire
-to disenfranchise people based upon whom they sleep with
-to deny the rights of those who don't practice a state-sanctioned religion
-to continuously work to roll back the civil rights of all citizens, especially the right to dissent
-to claim the right to tell a citizen when and how to reproduce

No No No No NO!

No, this is not a party that is fighting corruption or "big government". This is a bloated, corrupt entity that is trying to grow bigger in power and scope.
This is the party that is becoming our Nazi party.

Yes, I'm using the N word. Je'accuse! Bush and his right wing cohorts are trying to turn our country into a Fascist regime and claim that doing so is the cause of "Freedom"

Yesterday's vote was one more nail in the coffin of this party. I no longer care how moderate ANY of you are. IF you don't purge this filth from our country's leadership, I will NEVER vote for any candidate you produce for ANY post AGAIN.
