What I did on my summer vacation part 1

I got up.
I went to the store.
I went to the CPC Summer Gathering.
I came home.
I slept.
I got up.
I repacked the van.
I went to the store.
I went to Pennsic.
I came home.
I slept.

Ok, now the full version.

The CPC Gathering, was overall a good time. Learned a few things and got a few good ideas to enrich my spiritual and magickal practices. Spent some good quality time in water. Mmmmm. water.
I also gave a good concert and helped with sound for our other musical guest.
Had one irksome moment when some self-proclaimed busybody came to tell us that we should not be doing our soundcheck during the Main Ritual. The MR had barely started and we were going to be done in less than 10 minutes. Caroline, Orion, Ivo, et al are all extremely skilled priests/priestesses/magickal workers who can summon big juju in the middle of a city's chaos and noise. Common sense should have told me that they couldn't care less about a few honks and squonks and snippets of sound, especially if they abated before the really good stuff happened. They had JUST started, and I was anxious to get to it too. Instead of arguing with the busybody and assuming she was "sent", I should have just dismissed her and continued with my business. Some discrete asking about told me after the fact that she wasn't even at said ritual and that she took the mantel of "noise police" upon herself. Had I not been frazzled, I could have figured that out right then.
Well, I already have a plan for if this happens again, which it shouldn't. At least not in CPC.
But that aside, it was a great gathering. Next year, it might not even be right up against Pennsic.

It was far too frantic to have to come home from the Gathering and THEN start getting ready for Pennsic. It cost me a whole extra day and put far too much stress into the process with the whole unpacking/packing/repacking thing.
