A cheeky stance on a politically sensitive subject

maugornOn a different social media site, I posted a cheeky rejoinder on a thread, and it occurs to me that this notion is worth sharing on a wider scale.
A poster on that thread remarked that they were "For birth control, but against funding it."
I disagree with this stance in every way.
Ever since I came of age in a world where wonderful things could actually happen to _me_ sometimes, I've found that this world got even better in DIRECT proportion to my willingness to "fund" birth control. So I'm very much in favour of "funding" birth control.
So, as a matter of fact, I'd like to see it funded on as wide a scale as possible. Free, available, no questions asked, any time, any place. Even if it's funded by the Government, 100%, From the age of consent until death, if you want birth control, you've got it, and it's funded as a public good. I just can not see a down side to this.
What I see is a happier, more satisfied world all around, and, on a serious note, health costs for all going DOWN as a result of a vastly safer world with orders of magnitude fewer STIs and orders of magnitude fewer unwanted pregancies.
